Capsules ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your personal information and your privacy. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Capsules.

1. Information We Process

• Real-time Audio & Transcripts: During conversational practice, microphone audio is securely streamed via WebRTC directly to OpenAI Realtime services (such as gpt-live-1) to generate spoken responses. Audio streams are transiently processed in memory and are not stored or recorded on our servers.
• On-Device Learning Records: Your vocabulary collection, mastery levels, completed sessions, and preferences are stored locally on your device via local encrypted storage.
• Subscription & Purchase Identifiers: In-app subscriptions are managed via Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat using anonymous app user IDs. We do not store your credit card or payment details.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

To provide intelligent realtime speech conversation and subscription management, Capsules works with trusted providers:

• OpenAI: Processes real-time conversational audio and text responses via OpenAI Realtime API. Under OpenAI API data terms, API customer data is not used to train models.
• RevenueCat & App Stores: Manages subscription status, receipt validation, and daily allowance entitlement checks.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

You have complete ownership of your data:

• You can export your complete vocabulary collection and session history at any time from Settings → Your Data.
• You can permanently wipe all locally saved data and reset the app at any time with one tap in Settings → Erase Data.

4. Children's Privacy

Capsules is designed for general audiences and language learners. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.
